“I’m afraid that won’t-” Stella was about to refuse, but was interrupted by Jeremy.
“It has been on my mind ever since that day. Honestly, I wish I could have asked earlier, but I have been so busy settling in at work. I hope it’s not too late and you will give me a chance to apologize properly,” Jeremy said sincerely.
His low voice was very attractive and the spark in his eyes as he stared at her was unmatched.
